Arguably Penang’s most beloved landmark, KOMTAR or Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak has been Penang’s tallest structure, and stands as the state’s most recognised icon. In fact, it was initially the tallest building in Malaysia and the second tallest in Asia before it was surpassed by Menara Maybank Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

Today, we are fortunate to see new life being breathed into this beloved icon. For one, three more storeys have been added; the previously 65-storey KOMTAR now stands proudly at 68 storeys tall. Along with its new stature, it also houses Penang’s newest icon – The Top.

What is the Top? Only Penang’s first all-in-one international visitor attractions hub with a variety of themed attractions and outlets that are sure to thrill everybody.

The attractions at the Top encompass both modern attractions as well as attractions that pay homage’s to the local flavour. Among the must-sees include the Rainbows Skywalk, Tech Dome, Tongkat Ali Museum, 7D Discovery Motion Theatre and a host of food and beverage outlets.
